Star Wars Jedi Survivorthe long-awaited sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, will be a direct sequel to both narrative and gameplay, but it’s still packed with some exciting new features and enhancements.
Unfortunately, this week we have known its delay to April 28so it will be released six weeks later than expected on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
One of the most exciting elements of Star Wars Jedi Survivor may be its planets, which will now be bigger. Without abandoning (hopefully) its “metroidvania” nature, Jedi Survivor will offer more open environments and with more things to do and divert us from our objective. So much so that we can explore them with mounts.
The gamemaster, Stig Asmussenhas explained it in an interview for PLAY Magazine, from an issue that will be released in mid-February, although the information has been advanced by GamesRadar (from the same publisher).

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – Gameplay trailer
The planets will be big enough to have mounts in Star Wars Jedi Survivor
“We will have an option for fast travel and rideable creatures that will help players move fast between point A and B. Fast travel is point to point, but mounts offer a way to travel between points and explore what’s next.” there is in between.”
In the game’s gameplay trailer we saw at least two, a large bird, and a kind of pteranodon that Cal Kestis could grab onto to glide.
Asmussen’s words confirm that they will not be specific and “scripted” moments of the game, but that we can use the mounts to move around environments that seem much larger.
This week they announced the six-week delay for Jedi Survivor: “In order for the team to meet Respawn’s bar of quality, giving the team the time it needs to achieve the level of polish our fans deserve, we’ve added a crucial six weeks to our launch schedule. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now be released on April 28.”
Therefore, with season 3 of The Mandalorian very fresh, April 28 is the new date for Star Wars Jedi Survivor on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, a game that will face Cal Kestis with very tough decisions.
