This Wednesday, February 8, Santo Maldito, the new original series of the Star Original Productions label, premiereswhich premieres exclusively on the Star+ streaming service.

In a tone of dramatic suspense, the plot follows the story of Reinaldo, a professor who prepares students to enter university and an atheist writer, who lives a great internal conflict: Is he or is he not capable of performing miracles? Does he work miracles or is he an impostor?

When Reinaldo’s wife enters a vegetative state, he makes a desperate decision to put an end to this suffering, but miraculously, María Clara wakes up.. Unbeknownst to him, Reinaldo was filmed by a faithful from a small suburban church, and a divine phenomenon occurred before the eyes of the camera.
Samuel, pastor of a humble church, offers all his savings to Reinaldo so that he can preach to his faithful, believing that he is before an enlightened man.. In his journey as a religious leader who does not believe in God, the professor will see how his convictions weaken, discovering truths between heaven and the abyss.
Santo Maldito stars Felipe Camargo, Ana Flavia Cavalcanti and Augusto Madeira, the cast also includes Barbara Luz, Marina Provenzzano, Vinicius Meloni, Helena Albergaria, Mariana Sena, João Asunção, Flavio Bauraqui and Ravel Cabral. While the famous actor Othon Bastos has a special participation.
Produced by Intro Pictures and made up of eight 45-minute episodes, Santo Maldito is directed by Gustavo Bonafé, who co-directs the episodes with Mariana Bastos and Lucas Fazzio.
