MOSCOW – Russian arms manufacturer Rosoboronexport will present drones at the Aero India 2023 aerospace exhibition. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from 13-17 February 2023 at Yelahanka Air Base, Bengaluru.
In the press release, visitors to the Rosoboronexport booth could get acquainted with Russian drones, such as the Orion-E reconnaissance and attack drone, Orlan-10E reconnaissance drone, and Orlan-30 developed in 2022.
It is known, the Orlan-30 drone can carry out reconnaissance operations and increase the accuracy of artillery fire.
In addition, this drone is also equipped with a laser target designator that helps direct it to the target.

This allows the artillery to hit objects with greater accuracy than its predecessor, the Orlan-10.
The Orlan-30 drone, which is the successor to the Orlan-10, is claimed by Russian state media to have strong demand in the global market.
The Orlan-30 can fly with a takeoff weight of up to 27 kilograms. This allows it to carry payloads of up to 8 kilograms, such as cameras with electronic-optical image stabilization, reconnaissance devices, electronic radio pads, and radiation measurement devices.
Orlan-30’s maximum flight speed can reach 150 kilometers/hour. This drone can fly up to 300 kilometers and can stay in the air for up to 5 hours.
Ukrainian troops captured the Orlan-30 drone on the battlefield for the first time in April 2022. Then, in August 2022, Ukrainian troops reportedly shot down the Orlan-30 drone.
