In the 1990s, Kahraman was one of the emerging talents in Austrian football. At the age of 17 he was bought by Feyenoord. But his career, divided between the Dutch, Austrian, Turkish and Greek championships, never really took off. In 2003, at the time of Salzburg, he challenged (and eliminated) Udinese in the UEFA Cup. And three times he wore the shirt of the Austrian national team. He stopped playing in the minor leagues. Then he started coaching. And he also threw himself into politics. So much so that in 2017 he ran for the National Council elections in the ranks of the People’s Party.
