“Fasting from the 1st to the 15th of the month of Sha’ban is not a confirmed fast but it is still recited, and it doesn’t have to be until the 15th, until the 30th of Sha’ban is recited,” he explained.

“It is only in the school of Imam Shafi’i, if there is a person who has never fasted and it is not to pay a debt, then it is forbidden to fast after the 15th of Sha’ban,” he said.
Buya Yahya added, according to Imam Syafi’i, a Muslim should first fast on the 15th of the month of Shaban. If you fast after that date, it will be makruh.
However, the law of makruhnya fasting will be lost if it fulfills the following three conditions.
1. It is not Makruh if mengqodho
2. Accustomed to fasting the sunnah on the previous day
3. Continued between fasting on the 15-16th of the month of Shaban
Even so, said Buya Yahya, other schools of thought did not discuss the matter of makruh law. This is because in the hadith of the Prophet, it has been explained that it is customary to fast in the month of Shaban.* M. Rizky Pratama
