After a 36-year-old Enschede resident was arrested by an arrest team on suspicion of armed robbery, he refused to give the access code of his mobile phone to the authorities. But that later turned out to be no longer necessary, as public prosecutor Sandra Leusink pointed out subtly. Because after the judiciary had succeeded in cracking the criminal app Exclu, the Goudvis detective team – as the police investigation is called – was able to read along in countless messages.
