Threatening message after the letter with a bullet sent to Corte Lambruschini. The management is in focus
A cardboard box (addressed to the former Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero and to the lawyer Antonio Romei, a member of the current board of directors) with a pig’s head inside a transparent bag was left this morning at the entrance to the Sampdoria headquarters. The message that accompanied the package was disturbing: “Massimo Ferrero and Antonio Romei, the next heads will be yours”. Immediate intervention by the police, even if the signal is indicative of how much tension has risen around the Sampdoria club, at high risk of default (if liquidity injections do not intervene as soon as possible) and with the team one step away from relegation.
There is, unfortunately, a worrying precedent, given that in January an envelope with a blank bullet had been delivered to Corte Lambruschini, also at the club’s offices, and also there addressed to the former patron. In that case, however, the envelope had arrived by post, but to date it has not been possible to trace the author. Subsequently a new letter of apology (but with a different handwriting) was received. Today, however, this new episode: to trace those responsible, the numerous cameras in the area around Corso Buenos Aires will be viewed.
On the corporate front, work continues to be able to obtain through an ad hoc loan the 30-35 million needed to finish the season, meeting all the deadlines between now and the end of the championship. Hoping, in the short term, to finally find a new owner.
