As was done at the Tambakrejo Market, Bulog provides medium quality rice at low prices.
“Per kilogram of medium rice the HET is IDR 9,450, 5 kilogram packages are sold at IDR 46,000,” he explained as quoted by Antara. Monday (06/02/2023)
Apart from that, he explained, the pattern chosen by Bulog was to go directly into the community by conducting market operations.
“So our pattern is to operate the market outside, but we also inform the traders that there is Bulog rice at that price,” he said.

According to him, for the past two months, the price of rice has increased. The five-kilogram package, which is usually sold for IDR 55,000, has become IDR 58,000.
“It’s been two months up. Maybe because many of the crops failed and were eaten by rats. So the price of rice is also going up,” he said.
It is known that Zulkifli Hasan, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, made an unannounced inspection (sidak) to the Tambakrejo Market in Surabaya City today. His visit checked the price of a number of groceries.
Apart from Minyakita which is still rare and expensive, the Minister of Trade found that the price of rice has remained soaring. He asked Bulog to ensure that the stock is safe and evenly distributed throughout the market. ***
