Redfall it is one of the big launches scheduled for Xbox Series X | S and PC (Xbox Game Pass) for this year. Its premiere will take place on May 2 and since the date is getting closer, many fans want to continue learning about the new proposal of Arkane Studios.
The creators of Dishonored or Deathloop have long histories of really solid games and with Redfall they want to translate their well-known first person shooter formula into an open world focused on cooperative play. Redfall has been a huge challenge for Arkane.

The challenge around Redfall
The open world of Redfall will be what defines this vampire hunting title. The development team has put all the meat on the grill with this concept and they have been talking about this especially with IGN in an interview.
Production designer Ben Horne has commented on aspects of that open world and wanted to mark distances with other games that could be similar to Redfall and its multiplayer action and shooting proposal.
“Left 4 Dead is an amazing game,” Horne said, “but we wanted to do something different. We wanted to do something that we felt had the Arkane DNA that we’ve done in games in the past, games like Dishonored, Dishonored 2, Preyor more recently Deathloop“.
After going through different central points with his past games, the producer pointed out what that focus was in his next title. “For Redfall we wanted to focus on the built world: we wanted to focus on that narrative story.”
“It was something new. I think it’s natural to make games and maybe you’ve made some that are in a certain mold and say, ‘We want to take what we love here and we want to break the mold.’ Making a great open world game was breaking the mold for us.”
Nevertheless, Redfall will not do without many of the elements that have defined Arkane and its games. “We wanted to keep things about the Arkane DNA that we love, things about our games in the past that we really appreciate: environmental storytelling, for example.
Craving for Redfall? Remember that the game comes to Xbox Series X|S y PC (Xbox Game Pass) 2 of May. The game has recently been criticized for requiring you to be connected online, even if you play solo.
