So, how to make qada or pay for the missed fast? Here is Buya Yahya’s explanation.
According to Buya Yahya, a person is required to pay the debt of fasting calculated from the time he has menstruation or menstruation.
“When you are fasting when you menstruate, then you are obliged to make up qada and the method for making up it is different,” he explained.
“If you don’t want to fast because you are stubborn, then some scholars argue you have to pay it in cash, that day is fine,” he continued.

“But if, for example, it was because you were playing and you didn’t know anything like that, then you can make up for the missed fast by paying in installments,” he said.
However, it should be remembered that before making up the qadha, it is recommended to count the qadha so as not to get caught up in anxiety.
“And remember that observing the obligatory fast is a greater reward than sunnah prayer and sunnah fasting, so it is obligatory to observe this,” he concluded.
And when a person is unable to pay qadha but first faces God according to Yahya’s advice, his heirs cannot distribute his inheritance first before the debt to God is paid first.
