NPD Group has unveiled the rankings of best-selling games and consoles in the US during the month of January 2023without counting digital sales and with bittersweet results.
The reason? At a general level, a lower amount of income and average expenditure is observed in the industry, with numbers similar to September 2022.
PS5 and Call of Duty at the top
Regarding video games, we found four newcomers in the US top 10. That is, four games that were released in January 2023 and that have slipped into the top 10 best-selling games, above Pokémon, Sonic Frontiers or even The Last of Us Part I.

In general we talk about 5% less spending on video games (from 4.59 billion dollars to 4.35 billion dollars), the same case as spending on DLC content and expansions. However, hardware sales were flat.
