It was announced during the February 8 Nintendo Direct Professor Layton and the New World of Steamnew chapter of the well-known puzzle saga by Level-5 starring the English archaeologist who solves puzzles.
There are still not many details of this new episode, starting from the fact that the reveal trailer showed just twenty seconds in animation in which we see the professor and the steam setting that gives the title to the game. Among the little information that is marked on the Nintendo e-shop page, however, the fact that the series has passed is underlined 18 million copies. The professor and his assistant Luke have been successful above all thanks to the DS portable console (and then 3DS), from the first chapter released in 2007. The latest episode released is instead Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the millionaires’ conspiracy, dated 2017 and also available for Switch and mobile devices.
The new episode of the Professor Layton series will arrive on Nintendo Switch, but still does not have a release period. We at GamesVillage will obviously update you when official news arrives on the matter.
Finally, we recall that, again during the last Nintendo Direct, Level-5 also announced DECAPOLICE, a new open world JRPG with investigative mechanics, arriving during this 2023 on Switch, PS4 and PS5.
