“We always place expectations on the other and we end up heartbroken or disappointed, because the moment one deposits in the other what he wants, needs and expects, it comes out muddy. You have your negotiables and your non-negotiables, and when someone tells you: “I don’t want this”, it’s because they don’t want it. Why do we always think that someone is going to change for us? Zuria Vega says that “Mariana” and “Luis” broke up because she didn’t want to get married and he did, and neither took the time to talk to reach a reconciliation.
“It has happened to all of us (that we say) ‘he is going to marry me’, ‘he is going to have children with me’, or ‘he is going to stop partying with me’… but we are always putting the responsibility on the other. And what I like about the movie is that it is not a lack of love not wanting to change your mind” when you don’t want to do something.

In this sense, Juana Arias, the third in discord in this love triangle, notes: “We forget that sometimes one should make a list of what they want in their life and in the partner they are looking for, because suddenly you find someone one and you kind of forget half of the things you wrote just because you liked it that day…. ‘and there I go looking’, but the list is still the list”.
Juana is “Lucía”, a friend of “Luis” who comes from Colombia and seeks her residence in Mexico, but the bureaucracy is so complicated that she has no choice but to accept the proposal he makes her, marry him to make her jealous. “Mariana” and thus she also obtains her immigration documents.“ Communication is everything in a relationship. And this is what one does for friends, but there is also the issue of papers, and you end up in situations where you get into things that are a bit banal, (asking yourself) ‘Why am I here? I shouldn’t be in this situation because it’s not what I want.’ Because she doesn’t like this dude, she wants someone else, and she’s not in the place where she wants to be because she’s not listening to herself.”
In addition, Zuria refers that commonly in the stories that women are told without portrayed as those who want to get married, as if they were desperate or have all the problems in the world, and here with “Luis” is the counterpoint, he is the one who wants to get married and the one who is committing the entanglements. Both Juana and Zuria hope that the film will be liked by the public.
