The Unpacked has just finished, the Samsung event in which the South Koreans present their new premium mobiles for the rest of the year. In addition to the new Galaxy S23, this year we have seen laptops. Lots of laptops.
A few days ago we were able to test the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, a mobile of which we have already left you our first impressions and which we also talked about in the video that you have under these lines, but in addition to the terminals, Samsung told us that new laptops were coming .
These are six different teams divided into three families that, to be honest, have a lot in common (such as mounting Samsung’s most advanced screens for laptops) and very interesting software features that enrich the ecosystem between the company’s devices.
I have already told you about that both in the S23 video and in my impressions, so below We are going to know all the characteristics of the Galaxy Book 3.
A Galaxy Book 3 Ultra: taking the surnames of mobile phones
You are right, we have a laptop that is not Pro, it is not Max… it is Ultra, directly. It pays tribute to the TOP range of mobile phones from the South Korean company and, to be honest, it stands out for its technical characteristics, starting with the screen.
I leave them below:

We’ve already seen laptops with OLED screens (Asus’ VivoBook 15 or Acer’s Swift 3, for example), but in these three laptops, Samsung claims to have packed its latest AMOLED display technology.
In fact, They are the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels that mount their most premium mobiles and, in addition, they have an adaptive refresh rate that goes from 48 to 120 Hz depending on the content and needs.
This is something we’ve already seen on the 14″ and 16″ MacBook Pro and We really want to see how it behaves in these laptops with Samsung AMOLED panels. OLED tends to come with poor brightness, but here we have 400 nits which should be enough for most situations.
For the rest, we have hardware that lives up to the name Ultra: latest-generation processors from Intel up to i9 and Nvidia RTX 4050 and 4070 GPU in its Laptop version.
The price, obviously, is consistent and it will be possible to buy it for 2,999 euros. The launch will take place on February 22.
Lowering the step a bit in GPU and CPU are the Book 3 Pro
As I say in the title, if we remove the RTX and i9 from the Book 3 Ultra, we are left with the Book 3 Pro. On this occasion, Samsung offers two screen possibilities for those who want more panel at the cost of mobility… or prefer that the laptop fits perfectly in the backpack.

At the level of finishes, we are still facing two very, very premium laptops (all the ones that Samsung has presented today are, really) and we basically have the same characteristics as in the Ultra except for those already mentioned and two little details more.
For starters, we’re not going to be able to upgrade storage inferno, so we’d better pick the right version. Also, HDMI goes from 2.0 to 1.4. I don’t consider this to be a loss, as it is the logical step when going with an integrated GPU.
The price of the Galaxy Book 3 is 1,899 euros for the 14″ version and 1,999 for the 16″ version, both, of course, in their base versions.
Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360: like the Book 3 Pro, but with a convertible format
Finally we have the 16 “Galaxy Book 3 Pro. We were able to test this at the Samsung presentation and soon we will give you some first impressions, but basically it is like the 16″ Book 3 Pro, but with the convertible format.
This means that the hinges allow the screen to be turned around to use it as if it were a tablet or, directly, place it at angles that are more convenient for us to consume content.
These are its characteristics:

As you see, by specifications we have a 16″ copy of Book 3So it’s up to you if you’re interested in a more traditional laptop format or if this 360 screen adds additional value.
The price of the 512 GB storage version is 2,099 euros and the 1 TB version is 2,299 euros. As you can see, a little more expensive than the Book 3 Pro, probably due to the format of the hinge.
