Today’s Pokémon Presents had exciting announcements for TCG lovers of the franchise. The surprise was undoubtedly the revelation of Pokémon TCG Classic, a premium set that will bring back iconic cards from the first edition.
For now, not all the details of the set have been revealed, but we know that it will include an attractive board and all the necessary accessories to enjoy the games, which will be played in a classic format. Just as if we were at the time of the first edition of letters.
This collectible will offer 3 decks featuring popular creatures: Charizard and Ho-Oh, Venusaur and Lugia, as well as Blastoise and Suicune. As it is a special set, the cards in this pack cannot be used in official tournaments. Its debut will be later this year and it is expected to have a high price that has not yet been confirmed.
On the other hand, it was confirmed that the Pokémon World Championship 2023 will be held for the first time in Japan from August 11 to 13. Below you can see the trailer of the announcement:
