Hogwarts Legacy It is now officially on sale on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC… although thousands of players have been exploring Hogwarts for most of the week thanks to the early launch.
Overall, Hogwarts Legacy players are loving it, especially Harry Potter fans, as the world is littered with Easter egg references to the books and movies (although some PC gamers have had some technical hiccups).
However, some players have noticed the absence of very simple mechanics… but that they miss. Not everyone noticed, but when they saw it, now they can’t stop thinking about that missed opportunity… what Avalanche could patch up?

ANALYSIS of HOGWARTS LEGACY in SPANISH. Is the Harry Potter universe worth it?
Hogwarts Legacy players just want to sit back and take in the views, but they can’t!
The feature fans miss in Hogwarts Legacy is… feel. You can wander all over Hogwarts, pick up a broom and fly to Hogsmeade, or get lost in the woods hunting creatures for your Room of Requirement. This is all very good…
But you can’t do something as simple as sit on a bench in the Great Hall, at a desk in a classroom, or on the Hogwarts grounds, just to look at the world around you.
There are already several threads in the subreddit from Hogwarts Legacy that talk about it, published on the same day and apparently unrelated to each other. ricket02 opines that “it’s those little things that really draw you into his world and make you feel like he’s a real person, not someone controlling a character.”
Prestigious-Policy32 goes further, saying that it would be nice to have an emote wheel. “Not being able to sit in the Great Hall or eat or study alongside other students makes the dining room feel like a stage and empty.”
The player praises how incredibly well detailed it is, so much so that he wants to spend more time on it. It’s a very beautiful world, “but it’s like a fairground attraction: you move, you see the sights, you enjoy the music, but they don’t let you stay.”
Do you think the same? Do you miss more actions to interact with the environment (or the other students) and feel more in their world? Maybe Avalanche Software thought that those kinds of actions, in a single player gamethey wouldn’t make sense… but the fans ask for it anyway.
Hopefully, it will snowball and Avalanche Software sees player feedback, and takes it into account for future Hogwarts Legacy updates that improve the game based on what players feel.
