Back on the Italian market in 2022, Peugeot Motorcycles arrived at Eicma with a roundup of news: from the renewed scooters with historical names for the House such as Pulsion and Django, Pegeot presented various innovations among which the XP 400 adventure scooter stands out.
Available in two versions: XP400 Allurethe roadiest, e XP400 GT, inspired by offroad. The technical base is the same: the engine is the 399 cc PowerMotion that equips the Metropolis 400, a liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke accredited with 36,7 CV a 8.150 giri/min. e 38,1 Nm a 5.400 giri/min.
The bike offers one upside down fork with 140mm of travel and a single rear shock; the wheels have a motorcycle cut: the rims, 17” front and 15” rear, in alloy on the Allure and spoked on the GT, are shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires in the 110/70 and 160/60 sizes. Braking is entrusted to the front by a double 295 mm disc with radial mount calipers and at the rear by a single 240 mm disc, obviously assisted by ABS; the weight is 231 kg.
The dashboard is a 5” color TFT, there is a USB to connect and recharge the mobile phone, the smartkey; the underseat compartment can hold a full-face helmet and the windscreen is adjustable (tinted on the GT). Peugeot Motocycles then developed a wide range of accessories in which a crash bar type protection system is proposed, in matt black, which wraps around the platform and the front part of the fairing.
Then there are the fog lights, which are fixed directly to these fittings mentioned above, the top box with its dedicated support and the leg guard cover for the rider.
