If you’ve ever watched ‘Basic Instinct’, the scene in which Sharon Stone (64) spreads her legs while she’s not wearing any underwear has undoubtedly stayed with you. Paul Verhoeven (84), the director of the film, tells in an interview with the ‘AD’ a rather remarkable story about the panties that Sharon Stone had to take off during the scene.
“My wife still washed it”
Sharon already said last year that she is not exactly pleased with the way in which the infamous scene came about. Paul allegedly asked her to take off her panties because they ‘reflected’ too much in the light. He promises her that her vagina will not be visible, but during a preview she finds out that it is.

Paul denies all of this. In the AD he thinks that Sharon really likes it and even gives him her panties afterwards. Paul then takes the panties home. “My wife still washed it.” The panties would then have ended up between the underwear of their daughters, who have been wearing them.
