Rossoblù took the lead through Soriano, the Sampdoria striker scored the equalizer penalty but two minutes later had the winning one saved. At the end Orsolini with a magic gives the three points to his team
High jump of Bologna, which provisionally leaps alone to seventh place and sinks Sampdoria (1-2 final) at the end, thanks to a goal by Orsolini, who lands a deadly blow from the right beating Audero: the Var check confirms the position regular red and blue. But Motta’s team must also thank Skorupski, who in the second half saved Sabiri’s second penalty after the Moroccan had scored the one-one goal from the penalty spot, rekindling Dorian hopes following the goal in the first half by the former Soriano, again after 66 games. The midfielder’s last goal dates back to the match against the blucerchiati. Samp thus sees the idea of bringing home a point vanish (the third all in the last three games) which sounds like a joker thrown towards a salvation that remains very far away. But the spark would have served above all for the Blucerchiati, who had instead fallen back into their old mistakes for a long time: a lot of good will, but too much imprecision. The blucerchiati tried to repeat the same test, in terms of intensity and tactical attitude, offered last Monday against Inter, but this time the guests showed more ideas, more concreteness and cynicism in the sills, even and above all in the frantic final: what the team by Stankovic was missed instead.
Stankovic finds Léris on the right in the median, and confirms Murillo in the right defensive trio in place of Gunter. Motta without Arnautovic recovers Lucumi in central defence, Schouten joins Dominguez, Soriano goes wide on the left and Barrow is the centre-forward where he alternates with Barrow. The hosts got off to a good start: Gabbiadini (2′) kicked as soon as he entered the area, but the shot was weak, Skorupski blocked. Samp does not give Bologna any points of reference, placing Djuricic or Cuisance in turn behind the two forwards, and tries to keep the departments close together, creating a lot of density in the middle, where Bologna struggles to organize itself. Gabbiadini, still him (6′) squanders the best chance of the first half and sends very high with Skorupski off the posts. It is the episode that shakes the guests, until then more effective in the central streets with the outside lanes manned by Augello and Léris, shortens between the trocar and the median and tries to surprise the SSMP with lightning-fast restarts. Nuytinck avoids the crash (18′) on Barrow’s header, but the Rossoblù pressure rises. Schouten launches Orsolini, who closes the triangle with Barrow: Audero is there. Posch tries, closed by Djuricic, but it is clear how Sampdoria has lost effectiveness at this point. And, in the 28th minute, Bologna took the lead: a corner at the far post, Barrow serves the former Soriano back, a poisonous diagonal low shot that beats Audero. Goal first conceded, then canceled due to an alleged irregular position by Schouten and finally validated after a long Var check.
In the second half, the Sampdoria switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Murru on the field in place of Augello, Rincon for Murillo (who goes with Winks in front of the defence) and Zanoli for Lammers. But Samp is struggling, it’s cumbersome in construction, Schouten and Dominguez close on Samp in the restart and Stankovic’s team becomes predictable. Gabbiadini misses a good chance, Ferguson is deflected for a corner, but the balance has changed, the impression is that Bologna is under management at this point. The change of formation leaves Gabbiadini perhaps too isolated, but the Sabiri move implemented by the Serbian is effective. Lucumi (very nervous) embraces Gabbiadini in the area, first Sampdoria penalty (23′). Sabiri equalised. A heavy goal, but two minutes later (hand in support from Sosa who brakes Zanoli’s shot in a slide) another penalty (contested by the rossoblù) for the hosts: Sabiri again from the penalty spot, but this time there is no happy ending for Sampdoria. Skorupski guesses and rejects with his left hand, then also opposes the second attempt of the Sampdoria player. Stankovic makes Rodriguez debut looking in vain for a coup that succeeds instead in Bologna. Moro launches Orsolini, in his sixth center of the season, whose left foot strike is lethal. Festa Bologna, for Samp now the future is very dark.
