If you are a One Piece fan, surely you must have heard some of the characters that are part of this story name the concept known as Absolute Justice. This concept turns out to be rather a belief that is shared and applied by the vast majority of marines in One Piece history.
Throughout the entire One Piece chronology we have been able to witness many Marines who happen to be quite strongsuch as the well-known Hero of the Navy, Monkey D. Garp, or the right hand of the latter, Bogard, which surely has made you wonder: Who is Bogard and why is he so loved?
It is well known that in the Navy in One Piece there are many characters who faithfully follow and practice this concept or belief, but, what exactly is the so-called Absolute Justice? Next, we explain various aspects of this concept.
What is Absolute Justice in One Piece?
Absolute Justice, a concept shared by the vast majority of Marines in One Piece
As mentioned above, Absolute Justice is it a philosophy or principle which turns out to be quite common among the admirals, officers, and other members that are part of the Navy in One Piece.
As its name indicates, Absolute Justice is a concept that proposes that absolute justice must be done to the eradicate all the evil that exists in the world.
Marines who share this belief say they are willing to do whatever it takes to apply his philosophybeing able to kill anyone who gets in their way, in addition to ignoring the consequences or collateral damage that may arise.
Those who follow the philosophy of Absolute Justice believe that if the goal is noble, it does not matter what sacrifices are necessary to achieve it. Taking this into account, we might come to think that this philosophy is not something that many people share, however, the reality is that the vast majority of marines follow this popular principle.
Although for these characters Absolute Justice is technically a law of life, this principle is something completely cruel and heinous, by leading the marines to commit any act in order to fulfill their ideals. This principle has caused some of the most horrific incidents in all of One Piece history to happen.
Why is Absolute Justice bad?
The great destruction caused in the Ohara incident
The fact that people who follow this belief are willing to do anything to achieve your goalsregardless of the deaths and other damage that they may cause, is enough to perceive this principle as something bad.
Those who follow Absolute Justice are blinded, believing that their intentions are good in wanting to eradicate evil, however, as a popular phrase says that “The end does not justify the means”wanting to do good does not justify the fact of causing damage and chaos for a good cause.
A great example of how bad Absolute Justice is can be seen evidenced in the ohara incident. When the Buster Call started on the island, the people there were evacuated on a boat so that they would be safe, since the World Government only wanted to punish the scholars who broke the law by trying to decipher the Poneglyphs or Phoneglyphs.
After this boat advanced a little trajectory, it was attacked and destroyed by a Navy shipbeing that later it is discovered that the person behind the attack that blew up said ship was nothing more and nothing less than Vice Admiral Akainu.
Another great example of how atrocious adherents of this principle can be is the time the Marines were looking for the son of Gol D. Roger. Not wanting Roger to be able to continue his lineage and his legacy, they searched extensively for his son, and although she is not mentioned outright, these they murdered a lot of children together with their mothers. If this wasn’t the case, then Rouge wouldn’t have carried Ace for twenty months.
Absolute Justice must be stopped
Marines must eradicate Navy Absolute Justice
Having seen this, it goes without saying that Absolute Justice is an atrocious belief, that must be totally eradicated from the Navy. The fact that the marines can attack or even kill anyone who gets in their way with the excuse that it is for a good purpose is totally horrible and unacceptable.
People in One Piece are already used to having to deal with evil pirates, so they look for ways to defend themselves against them, however, Marines attacking innocent people is unfair.since people are completely defenseless before these officers.
Innocent people don’t expect hostility from the Marines.and even if they did, it would be technically impossible for them to find the strength or the means to defend themselves against these characters who are very well trained to attack.
One of the objectives of the Straw Hat Pirates should be achieved before the end of the series is to eradicate this belief among the marines, since there is no doubt that the well-known Absolute Justice has caused more harm than good throughout the history of One Piece.
