Publisher Square Enix has announced today that Octopath Traveler 2 is officially available for consoles and PC. Developed by Acquire, it is the sequel to the first Octopath, a game that brought back the pixelated graphics of the 16-bit era.
Set in the world of Solistia, we will follow the story of eight new characters: Ochette, the huntress; Castti Florenz, the apothecary; Temenos Mistral, the cleric; Osvald V. Vanstein, the scholar; Partitio Yellowil, the merchant; Agnea Bristani, the dancer; Throne Anguis, the thief; Hikari Ku, the warrior. Each one has its own plot, developed by chapters in which we will face a hostile world.
The game extends the playable bases of its predecessor, offering new mechanics, a combat system that proved to be unique, and the acclaimed HD-2D art style, a mix between pixel art and 3D scenarios. Now, the characters interact more with each other, which was one of the complaints in the first game.
Octopath Traveler 2 is available for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can read our review HERE.
