The intended destination for the goods transshipment is the Hessenpoort business park, at the top of Zwolle, along the A28 in the direction of Meppel. A growing location for years, with eye-catchers such as Wehkamp, Kruitbosch, Scania and Ikea. Although the exact location is still up for debate: the station and all surrounding facilities occupy at least 25 hectares, possibly even 34. Land will have to be purchased for this, and the advice of the researchers from Stec Groep is: do so quickly. Otherwise, location options may disappear before they are properly viewed. Companies also want to expand, and there are plans for sustainable energy generation.
