Bas Tietema is a familiar face in the international cycling peloton. The Zwolle native was once part of the Swiss BMC, at the time one of the leading teams in the professional peloton. After he was never able to make the big step due to circumstances, the Zwolle resident threw himself on social media with his Tour de Tietema. His cycling videos on YouTube attract a lot of attention, after which Tietema was extensively in the news last year because he was suddenly offered another contract with a Belgian professional team. Bingoal was the main sponsor of that team.
