The film will be released on more than three thousand screens throughout Mexico on March 23 of this year through Sony Pictures Releasing International, the statement stated.
Directed and produced by Luis Estrada (“Herod’s Law”, “Hell”, “The Perfect Dictatorship”) and with a story and script by himself and Jaime Sampietro (“Hell”), the film stars Damián Alcázar , Alfonso Herrera, Joaquín Cosío, Ana de la Reguera, Ana Martín and Angelina Peláez. Sandra Solares is the executive producer.
“‘Hurray Mexico!’ it is an acid social fable and a poisonous political satire; grotesque with a lot of black humor that, like a soulless mirror, shows us and portrays everyone in these times of polarization and intolerance but not in a realistic or naturalistic tone, but with the distortion that parody, farce, magical realism and caricature give. All framed in that little personal hell to which we all belong and that we all have and suffer, for better or worse: The WFamily, says director Luis Estrada.
