BRUSSELS – Secretary General (Secretary General) NATO Jens Stoltenberg said, his party had to make sure Ukraine get the weapons he needs to win the war. Because, President Russia Vladimir Putin preparing not for peace but for more wars.
“We are not seeing any signs that President Putin is preparing for peace, we are seeing on the contrary, he is preparing more wars, attacks and new attacks,” Stoltenberg said as quoted by Al Jazeera, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
NATO defense ministers will meet later on Tuesday to discuss more military aid to Ukraine. On this occasion, Stoltenberg needed to increase the supply of ammunition to Kiev.

“This is a war of attrition, therefore a battle of logistics,” added Stoltenberg.
Stoltenberg said that beyond discussions of new weapons for Kiev, the weapons already delivered should remain functional. He said he hoped the fighter jet issue would be discussed but Ukraine needed support on the ground now.
Ukraine uses ammunition faster than the West can make.
Germany announced it had signed a contract with arms maker Rheinmetall to restart production of the Gepard anti-aircraft gun ammunition that had been delivered to Kiev.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reiterated that Washington and NATO are with Ukraine for the long term.
“The joint decision will sustain Ukraine’s momentum in the coming weeks,” Austin said in Brussels.
“The Kremlin is still betting it will wait for us to get out,” he added.
