Enea Bastianini: “I have to change my driving style”

On the new crew chief: “Rigamonti’s approach is different compared to what he had Giribuola: at the moment, however, we are working well. But only in a race weekend can we make better assessments of our relationship. Compared to the 2021 engine, this one is worse in the first part of the delivery, a little too aggressive”.
Jorge Martín: “I crashed at turn 7”
Martin started by talking about the crash and his physical condition: “I am crashed at turn 7: it was starting to rain and there was humidity. Unfortunately I hit my right hand hard: The lesion is deep, but does not require an operation. We hope to be able to ride tomorrow”.
“Today I only did 17 laps: I had to compare fairing 2023 (the one with the side “step”, NDA) with the old one, but when I mounted the 2022 I fell. I can therefore not say anything, tomorrow we will have to do other checks and, then, we hope to close this issue. The truth is that we have a great foundationbut it makes the big difference the engine: with the 2023 version I don’t have to be aggressive to be fast. 2022 was complicated for the engine, the disbursement put us in difficulty. If nothing else, all the work done on electronic management to try to fix the defects of 2022 can also be useful in 2023″.
