Mortal Kombat 12 has been one of the games that many players have been waiting for, for many the game that should have been released before a new Mortal Kombat is Injustice 3 but unfortunately we do not have any information about this possible title.
However, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, speaking to investors during an earnings call today announced that Mortal Kombat 12 will be released this year, via Wario64. “There is much more to come, including the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 12 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, games that are also set to release this year with ambitious launch projections,” Zaslav said.

This is the first official mention of the game as Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios has yet to officially announce Mortal Kombat 12. With the game launching later this year, an official announcement is coming soon.
Jonathan Andersen, a senior production manager at NetherRealm Studios, apparently leaked the game last month. He posted a tweet that was quickly deleted with artwork and prints on his desktop.
However, there were also two monitors from his PC visible. There is a file on one of the monitors called “MK12_Mast” which leads some to speculate that MK12 stands for Mortal Kombat 12.
