Michael B. Jordan is about to jump back into the ring as Adonis Creed, son of the legendary Apollo Creed. Third movie Creed, which Jordan also directs, will hit theaters in March.
The Rocky spin-off saga started in 2015 and was, to a large extent, the revitalization of Sylvester Stallone’s boxing franchise.
Now, Michael B. Jordan also occupies the director’s chair in the first installment that will not feature Sly as Rocky and that he begins to move away from the shadow of the Italian Colt.
Michael B. Jordan wants Adonis Creed to grow beyond the Rocky legacy, though the absence of Stallone’s character could still hurt the new film’s box office performance. That is something that will be seen in a short month.
The actor, however, is confident about the future of the Creed saga, and is very convinced that we will have more movies, whether they are direct sequels or derivative projects related to the figure of Adonis Creed.

While chatting with IGN, Jordan expressed confidence that after the release of Creed III, there will still be plenty of stories to tell about the son of Apollo and the current boxing universe that has been built around him.

The actor It does not specify precisely if the next projects will be direct sequels, such as Creed IV, or will try more to address derivative stories as a spin-off.
