Although Mercedes’ Hyperscreen, consisting of three whoppers of screens, has only been available for the EQE and EQS until now, it seems that the system will find its way to the rest of the family in the coming years. For example, the new E-Class is lurking around the corner and Mercedes already indicates that it will (undoubtedly optional) unpack with a dashboard full of screens. Don’t call it Hyperscreen, call it Superscreen. Although there is more to tell about it.
Selfie Camera, TikTok, Angry Birds? What is this?!
Mercedes brings the digital world a lot closer to the automotive world. For example, there is an optional selfie camera right on the dashboard. You can not only use it to take “nice shots” of yourself, it can also be used to hold Zoom meetings via the 5G connection. Immediately a damper on the fun: the new E-Class will only allow this when the car is parked.
If you still stand still, you can also find things in the infotainment system such as TikTok, Angry Birds and stream videos and games via the optional ZYNC entertainment portal. Mercedes has clearly set its sights on digitization and this new E-Class makes it clear that the brand with the star wants to take a leading position in this. The new E-Class Sedan will be at the dealer this summer. It is a little longer to wait for the station wagon variant.
