An early goal by Queensy Menig from Amsterdam did not help Partizan Belgrade to a place in the eighth finals of the Conference League. The Serbs had already won the first game with FC Sheriff in Moldova 1-0 and the former attacker of PEC Zwolle and FC Twente, among others, gave his team a good starting position.
But within 10 minutes it was already equal: Cedrik Badolo used a penalty kick on behalf of Sheriff. The Moldavians took the lead shortly before half-time, this time Mouhamed Diop scored. He made it 3-1 immediately after the break, enough for a place in the last sixteen in the third European club tournament.
