WASHINGTON – Member of the United States (US) House of Representatives Republican Paul Gosar considered President Joe Biden’s trip to Ukraine a “slap in the face of every American”.
Gosar’s statement appeared on Monday (20/2/2023). Already under fire for the hundreds of billions of dollars he handed over to Kiev, Biden is now criticized by Republicans for his handling of a devastating chemical accident on US soil.

Biden made an unannounced visit to Kiev on Monday, where he notified Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that his administration was preparing a $500 million military aid package for his troops.
The Biden administration has handed Zelensky nearly $30 billion in military aid since last February, and has set aside more than $110 billion to continue military and economic aid to Ukraine.

“Joe Biden visiting Ukraine is a slap in the face for every American, especially residents of East Palestine, Ohio,” Gosar tweeted.
He stressed, “Ukraine is not our friend, and Russia is not our enemy.”
Gosar strongly opposes Biden’s funding of Ukraine, and sponsored a resolution earlier this month that would have halted US aid to Kiev.
