ROME, FEBRUARY 21 – “What we heard this morning was propaganda that we already know, the facts are different”. Thus the premier Giorgia Meloni, in Irpin commented on the speech of the Russian president Vladimir Putin. “Putin? A part of my heart – Meloni replied – hoped that he would say different words waiting for me to take a step forward. What we heard this morning is the usual propaganda but the facts are different, you said that you work for diplomacy to avoid conflict but the truth is that there is someone who is the invader and someone who is defending himself. And the paradox is that whoever is the victim of this aggression is still trying to present a peace plan”. (HANDLE).
