LONDON – President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky meet with Raja Charles III for the first time when he made an unannounced visit to England. Zelensky met King Charles after arriving in London today.
Meeting at Buckingham Palace, King Charles held an audience with Zelensky for the first time since the outbreak of war in Ukraine last year.
During the meeting, King Charlers told Zelensky he was delighted to welcome him to Buckingham Palace.
“We have all been worried about you for a long time and thinking about your country, I can’t tell you,” he said.

Meanwhile in his post on Instagram, Zelensky said he was grateful for King Charles’ warm welcome and his support for Ukrainians who fled to Great Britain.
“It is an honor for me to be the first President of Ukraine in the history of Ukrainian-British relations to have the honor of having an audience with the King of England,” Zelensky said on Instagram.
He also congratulated King Charles on his accession to the throne and hoped that the British people would find peace and prosperity.
This is Zelensky’s first visit to Britain since the Russian invasion in February last year.
