The Persian Gulf country was the scene of a boxing match that captured the world’s attention, the one between boxer-youtuber Jake Paul and Tommy Fury. And not only was CR7 present, but the Portuguese met a legend…
Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr, interest in the Saudi league has skyrocketed. Natural, because if you consider that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is also one of the people in the world with the largest social following, it is obvious that all eyes are constantly focused on him even away from the pitch. In Saudi Arabia, however, they are also interested in other sports (such as golf, with the birth of the LIV league which is creating so many headaches for the PGA) and the Persian Gulf country was the scene of a boxing match which catalyzed the attention of the world, the one between the boxer-youtuber Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.
I picture him with Tyson…

His friend Piers Morgan had explained that CR7 would not have missed the event, announcing on his show that “Cristiano has just told me that he will go to see the fight on Saturday”. Said and done, because Ronaldo was one of the most important spectators of the match, which was held at the Diriyah Arena. As it reports TalkSport, the Portuguese was in the audience and didn’t miss an opportunity that doesn’t happen every day, that of taking a photo together with a true legend of the ring. In fact, Mike Tyson was also present at the meeting, who posed next to CR7 for a shot that obviously has already been around the world.
…and Fury’s proposition
—
At the Diriyah Arena were several other personalities from the sports and boxing world, including…another Tyson. We are obviously talking about Tyson Fury, holder of the WBC heavyweight world title as well as the brother of one of the two contenders. And luckily for Tommy, the judges decided that he won the fight, even if it was not a unanimous decision. His brother had in fact declared a Joe.co.uk that in case of defeat he had plans for him: “If he loses, I’ll leave Tommy in Saudi Arabia. He can become Cristiano Ronaldo’s best friend and be his personal trainer”. In the end, however, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner left the arena without a new instructor, but with a photo with Iron Mike!
