From Sky to the presidency of Lega Pro. Matteo Marani wins the derby among journalists with Marcel Vulpis, outgoing vice president and regent of Serie C after the resignation of Francesco Ghirelli for the rejection of the new championship format. Marani obtained 39 votes compared to 15 for Vulpis. 58 clubs attended the convention.

Now Marani, who is also president of the Coverciano Football Museum Foundation, will face some not simple challenges, first of all that for the sustainability of Serie C which, in his words a few hours before the eve, “has the costs of professionalism without having revenues”. The other theme will be that of the reform of the championship, a topic that the journalist now president however wants to combine “from the bottom up” starting from the club assembly.
