What is the most famous Phase 3 theory? Marvel Studios has revealed that this widespread fan theory… It was true!
Marvel has confirmed the most popular Phase 3 theory. During an interview with Inverse, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania producer Stephen Broussard confirmed a fan theory related to an Easter egg seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Stephen Broussard explained that the Quantum Realm was meant to break the rules of everything known to the surface world, with conversations around that idea beginning during the production of Ant-Man and the Wasp. “We challenge ourselves at every turn: what is the Quantum version of this?” the Marvel executive wondered. “How can it seem like the rules are a little bent and are a little different? And the conversations to do it began when the second installment of the adventures of Ant-Man was made.

Broussard went back to the time Hank Pym rescues Janet Van Dyne, noting that Marvel Studios fans can see a small town in the background when they are coming back to the surface.

“We had laid some little Easter eggs when they found Janet that could hint at more life and more civilization down there,” says Broussard. “It’s those DVD freeze moments, if you want to look them up. I think Marvel fans have come across it before, there’s a moment where Hank finally rescues Janet. And they’re making their escape back to our world in their quantum capsule, their sled there. And in the background, you see a kind of vaulted city, this glass city that blends into the background, but it’s strangely architectural.”
