Suara.com – Indonesian footballer, Marselino Ferdinan made his debut with Belgian club KMSK Deinze against Jong Genk in the Belgian Challenger Pro League relegation playoff match, Saturday (25/2/2023) evening WIB.
Unfortunately, Marselino Ferdinan’s debut had to end in the defeat of KMSK Deinze against Jong Genk. Marc Grosjean’s club lost 1-3 in a match at the Burgemeester Van De Wiele stadium, Deinze.
Marselino, who was brought in by KMSK Deinze from Persebaya Surabaya in the January 2023 transfer market, made his debut off the bench.
The Indonesian national team attacking midfielder appeared in the 80th minute to replace Jellert van Landschoot.

Lino, as he is affectionately known, was the only Asian player to play in this fight. Meanwhile, one Japanese player belonging to KMSK Deinze, Yuta Miyamoto, had to be content with just being on the bench.
This defeat makes KMSK Deinze temporarily occupy eighth place in the Belgian Challenger Pro League overall or second in the relegation playoff standings.
KMSK Deinze has temporarily collected 30 points from 23 matches, far ahead of Virton who is in 12th place, aka the relegation zone.
Before giving Marselino his debut, coach Marc Grosjean had already hinted that he would play the 18-year-old in the match against Jong Genk.
Grosjean even gave high praise to Marcelino, who he considered a player with above average abilities for his age.

“He has above average quality. Moreover, he is very socially integrated, like he has been here for months,” Grosjean said before the match as quoted by Het Laatste Nieuws.
