Suara.com – The emergence of groups suspected of adhering to heretical sects in Tangerang, Banten has become a concern. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) together with the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) immediately moved to provide guidance to the group.
This was stated by the Secretary of the Tangerang Regency MUI, Nur Alam. He explained that his party was providing the correct understanding so that the group would not deviate from the teachings of the Islamic Sharia Expert Sunnah Waljamaah.
“What is certain today, followers (of the group) from the Balaraja area, Cisoka are in the stage of coaching the council of scholars. That’s why they are still being monitored and fostered,” said Nur Alam in Tangerang, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Nur Alam said that the group suspected of belonging to a deviant sect was led by a man named Aliyudin. The group has been asked to make a statement admitting that they misunderstood the teachings of Islam.

In addition, the group also promised not to carry out and spread teachings that are contrary to Islamic teachings. They have also apologized for their mistake.
“And for their mistake, they have also acknowledged their mistake and admitted their mistake, and have apologized to the public,” continued Nur.
Based on the results of the assessment and investigation by the team in the field, Nur explained that the activities or rituals carried out by Aliyudin’s group led by a mistake in implementing and practicing Islamic Sharia.
“So basically after the investigation, after reviewing it, there really isn’t anything that would qualify as a deviant sect. It’s just that it’s just a misunderstanding in carrying out the ritual, there’s no teacher, there’s no murshid, so it’s just wrong in carrying out the ritual,” he explained.
He also invited the people of Tangerang Regency to open up and rectify teachings that were considered deviant and caused unrest.

Previously, the District Leaders Communication Forum (Forkopimcam) revealed the findings of the alleged existence of heretical sects in Cibugel Village, Cisoka District, Tangerang Regency, Banten.
The finding of this deviant sect came after the video footage went viral on social media regarding the practice of religious rituals carried out by a group of residents.
Cisoka sub-district head, Encep Sahayat, said that the finding of the suspected deviant sect originated from information from the local community and then his party and related agencies immediately checked the location where the heretical teachings existed.
“After coordinating, we went straight to Aliyudin’s leadership in Kapung Cibuluh. Then we saw firsthand what the ritual place was like. And it’s true that there is a tomb (a place used for rituals),” he said.
From Forkopimcam’s search results to the location where the sect leader was, a room was found containing a tomb in it. However, after checking it was confirmed that it was not a real tomb but it was made by the leader of the sect himself.
“It is certain that it is not a real grave. Because it was made by Aliyudin himself. And after that they carried out the demolition,” he said.
Then, after coordinating with several religious leaders, his party immediately stopped and dismantled the alleged graves that were used as places for ritual practices of the sect that was suspected of being heretical
“The person concerned (the perpetrator) realized that what he was doing was not in accordance with Islamic rules as it should have been done. Furthermore, after listening to several opinions he was willing to stop the ritual activity,” he said. (BETWEEN)
