He looked for a lookalike on Instagram and then killed her to fake his own death. It happened in Germany. Shanhraban K.’s story was reported by Bild.
According to the reconstructions of the investigators, the woman, a 23-year-old German of Iraqi origins, would have conducted for weeks the search for another woman who resembled her to such an extent that she seemed to be her. Once the victim was contacted, she killed her, disfiguring her face, to stage her own death and escape parental guardianship due to their bad relationship.
The facts date back to August 2022. The day after August 15th, the lifeless body of the victim was found in a car by Shanhraban K’s own parents. However, during the autopsy examination, doubts arose about the actual identity of the corpse. The DNA test confirmed those doubts, thus exposing the 23-year-old.
