Between surprising and somewhat polarizing results, the second day of the League of Legends Latin American League gave a lot to talk about during these couple of days, in which we could already see Estral Esports, Isurus and Six Karma get ahead in their confrontations.
To close with a flourish, today’s last series had a somewhat unusual clash prepared for us, since we would see the veteran Movistar R7 team go face to face against The Kings, a squad that recently had its debut in the LLA after its promotion from the national leagues.

The multi-champion imposes his law before kings
Heading into today’s matchup, R7 was seen as the clear favorite to win the match, taking down All Knights without much trouble with a powerful roster packed with experienced players.
On the other hand, The Kings did not have the best of performances last day, since the difference between them and Six Karma was more than notable in their expected debut, so for this occasion they had a lot to prove if they wanted to be considered as title contenders.
Bong and Mireu proved to be one of the most promising signings of the Apertura
For their second game of the split, R7 wasted no time in securing the lead by landing a couple of key kills, both of which fell to their Korean players with ease. The kings would not sit idly by and before minute 10, they had already managed to match the situation in the top and bottom lanes.
After this offensive, the rainbow squad would have no compassion and they began to harass the members of The Kings across the map, which for 20 minutes resulted in a substantial difference that did not stop escalating over time.
R7 continued to insist, and with enormous pressure in the bot lane they made their way towards the enemy base, after a team fight that ended with the extermination of the newly promoted. Thus, with more than 13 thousand gold in their favor and without letting The Kings touch any jungle improvements, the multi-champion team scored their first point in this best-of-3 series.

The second game showed us a more interesting side of The Kings, as in contrast to the previous round, the game remained even thanks to their better rotations and aggression. But this was still not enough to break R7, since they had a slight resource advantage at all times.
The kings would show signs of life at minute 17, when in a team fight, the Mexican squad got 2 more kills that made the rival go back, which left them free to secure another dragon. The rainbow, finding itself cornered, decided to put its efforts into exterminating the Baron to advance through the map, which soon put them at the gates of the base.
Once the Void buff expired, The Kings would seize an opportunity to counter the mid lane push, putting them back in control of their side of the map. Unfortunately, this wouldn’t last long, as R7 would respond in kind and start a snowball rampage that wiped out every member of TK, leaving them alone in front of the nexus towers.
The game would be briefly stopped by a technical pause that allowed both teams to reorganize, with the kings going for a third dragon while the rainbow went for the Baron again. Around the 31st minute, R7 awaited the arrival of his minions to deliver the final blow, before making another extermination and taking down the last structures that protected the nexus, earning their second 2-0 victory this season.

Now that the second week of the Apertura 2023 is over, the fight for the first places seems to be closed between 3 teams, with Estral Esports and Movistar R7 sharing the top of the table and with Six Karma very close at only 1 point difference, then of the result in their series against All Knights.
On the contrary, the ones that are beginning to worry are the group of The Kings, since like Team Aze, they still do not know victory despite showing certain improvements in their synergy. For the following week an equally vital date awaits them, having to face Isurus in a fight between old acquaintances, which without a doubt would bring a lot of expectations in this high-risk duel.
But tell us, what did you think of this second week of the LLA Opening 2023? What was your favorite duel of the day? Tell us in the comments.
