According to 71-year-old Adrie, his neighbors have made the firebreak between the two houses so narrow that he can hardly turn his butt. According to him, there are no fences during the viewing of the house. And then there is also the question of the neighbour’s pipe, the drainage of the future roof, which Adrie does not like. Just like all the motorcycles next to his house. “It’s about the fence and the crossing. And everything that comes with it is irritation,” explains Adrie’s girlfriend when Viktor visits.
Adrie also finds it annoying that he can no longer go backwards with his bicycle. Just like his other neighbor Dennis, who also involved Adrie. Dennis’ stepfather is disabled and has to enter the house through the narrow fire escape. And that’s just fine. “It’s just drama, it’s real drama that path.”
The neighbors, Martijn and Miriam (who is described by their neighbors as a drama queen), in turn blame neighbor Adrie for narrowing the path. They also believe that Adrie can easily pass through his gate and does not need the path at all.
Meanwhile, the neighbor dispute has reached its bottleneck and it is high time that Mr. Visser and Viktor when the fire brigade head for Baarland to put out this conflict once and for all.
Adrie wants the fence moved, the pipe removed and the engines disappear. Martijn and Miriam, in turn, want the right of way to disappear, so that they will no longer be bothered by him. In the end, Master Visser decides that Martijn and Miriam’s fence must be moved, because the path must be at least 90 centimeters wide. Martijn and Miriam must also grant free passage to Dennis throughout the path. “I hope we can put everything behind us, everything,” they shook hands afterwards.
