The rivalry between the two fans, which had caused heavy clashes in May, was rekindled by repeated and hateful chants against the player who is a symbol of Naples. Spalletti was also targeted
Shameful the chants heard repeatedly from the curve Ferrovia of supporters from La Spezia, during Spezia-Naples. Ignoble, those choirs, because they praised the death of a man.
That that man’s name is Diego Armando Maradona and is a heritage of world football and not just Neapolitan, is an aggravating circumstance that makes those choirs even more shameful, more than one, different even in the text, but all disgusting. Ungrateful and heavy chants also against Luciano Spalletti, linked for life to La Spezia, as a man as well as a footballer.

Unfortunately, the fact that there was a vulgar and ancient rivalry between La Spezia and the Neapolitans is history (last May there were serious clashes between ultras in the last round of the championship, with the match even suspended for several minutes) and all violence must be condemned, without getting involved biased. That there were hostile choirs becomes consequential, even if it is unacceptable because they are racist. And repeated.
Now the usual 10,000 euro fine will arrive, a way for football to clear its conscience without ever going to the root of the problem to solve it. Meanwhile, “Vesuvius erupts, all of Naples is destroyed” the same Azzurri fans ironically sing it to themselves. But the irony is not enough.
