Deployed as starter by Juric, the Frenchman gives the three points to the grenades who overtake the Friulians in 7th place in the standings
February 5 – Turin
A soft and precise shot from Karamoh’s sills signs Torino overtaking Udinese in the standings. Juric’s team deservedly wins the confrontation with a European scent, moving to seventh place in the championship. At the end of the season, seventh place in Serie A could be worth access to the Conference. Dribbling bull in the first half, tough and battle in the second half after the lead. Udinese instead shut down at the start, then very confusing, with more enthusiasm than head in search of an equal that will not arrive.
GROWTH BULL
—
Juric follows up on his reflections on the eve of Nikola Vlasic (“I squeezed him, he’s very tired”, he said yesterday) and leaves him on the bench. Instead of him there is the new Karamoh, in an offensive trident that is completed with Miranchuk and Sanabria. Sottil, on the other hand, is not surprising, it is his typical Udinese style designed around a 3-5-2 formation that rests on the Success-Beto duo in front. The Bull was better in the first part of the match in terms of control of the field, Friulians careful however in retaliating blow for blow and in the counter-attack where the Buongiorno-Beto duel is sparking. The grenades push more on the center right, thanks to inspired Ricci-Miranchuk, while Udinese tries to break through especially on the central track when they manage to come out of the web built by Juric’s men with the dribble. In the final quarter of an hour of the first half, the growth of Toro begins to be conspicuous. And the only chance of the first 45′ matured: half a bicycle from Karamoh (40′) on an assist from Ricci intercepted by Silvestri.
BLACK LAKE
—
When we start again in the second half, the grenade’s good first half ending immediately finds an outlet. After three minutes, Juric’s team passes: Aina’s cross from the right, Karamoh in the heart of the area comes out behind Becao and punishes Silvestri. Directly the referee Prontera cancels for offside, but after a long check to the Var the attacker’s position is considered regular and the goal validated. After the cup ring in Florence, the first goal in Serie A for the Frenchman. Udinese’s reaction is angry, even physical in some respects. A tough Toro accepts the full-court man-to-man confrontation and defends the advantage with his teeth, coming close to an encore in a couple of counterattacks and with a free-kick from Miranchuk.
