The choice after the statements that had already prompted a direct intervention by Coni: “Statements issued exclusively on a personal basis”
Piero Sandulli suspended himself from the position of vice president of the second section of the Sports Guarantee College. The decision was taken for reasons of expediency after some statements made by Sandulli himself which entered into the merits of the capital gains case involving Juventus and which had prompted the same College of Guarantee with a note dated 3 February last to distance itself from him, underlining that these statements “were made exclusively in a personal capacity”.

It was known that in any case Sandulli would hardly have been part of the panel of judges on the appeal of the Juventus club against the 15-point penalty decided by the Court of Appeal of the FIGC, a type of dispute that is usually dealt with by the United Sections Guarantee Panel. therefore with the sole presence of the presidents.
