Jurre, who can currently be seen in Wie is de Mol? took over from Tim Hofman five years ago as presenter of Je Zal Het Maar Had. The program follows young people with known but also unknown illnesses or disorders. It is therefore not exactly light-hearted subjects that pass in review, but nevertheless Jurre is mentally ‘chicken’ in his skin after the recordings of the latest season.
“Because the people we have in the program are very positive, energetic people,” he explains. “That’s what we choose them for. They are people who, despite their illness or condition, get the most out of life and chase their dreams. Of course we talk about the difficult sides of their lives, but the positive always predominates. This makes you feel a shooting day never heavy. At the most sometimes afterwards, when it starts to land.”
Fortunately, he now knows what to do at such moments. Then he calls his friend or talks to the team for a while, drinks a beer with them. “We often drink with the participants during the recordings, which makes a difference,” he laughs. “But we all need that ventilation.”
