January was soaking wet: in the first month of 2023 there was much more precipitation than average in Overijssel. It was wettest in Genemuiden. There, 138 millimeters fell in a month, while the average is 70 millimeters. “It has been a very wet month,” says weather forecaster Margot Ribberink.
