Yesterday we finally had news about the future of the DC Extended Universe that James Gunn has planned for the next few years.
From Superman to Batmanthe North American filmmaker has confirmed all the changes that will come to the franchise, causing almost everything we have seen so far to cease to exist after The Flash.
One of the biggest unknowns was Harley Queen, the HBO animated series that has received very good reviews from the public and that many feared for its cancellation after this restart. However, Gunn has confirmed through the press conference with the media that the series will continue in this new universe.
“Let’s get on with it”, commented the CEO of DC Studios when asked about the future of the series. Safran for his part said that he thought it was a fantastic series, to which Gunn replied with a laugh “considering that I appear in the series”, since he has put some voices to different secondary characters.
This gives a break to the producers of the series, who they looked a little wary with what could happen with Harley Queen knowing the fateful fate of Henry Cavill as Superman or The Rock as Black Adam. This confirmation allows us to breathe easy and, above all, to enjoy the adventures of Harleen Frances Quinzel without fear.
