Despite it being announced in 2015 that the popular horror game series Five Nights at Freddy’s would be coming to the movies, progress had been agonizingly slow and for almost 10 years it was part of the limbo of video game adaptations. The good news is that the project was never canceled and the best thing is that it is getting closer to becoming a reality.
Many details about the film have recently come to light, thanks to which we already know which actors and actresses will be involved in the production. The above suggested that filming would take place very soon and the team has just confirmed that it is already underway.

Where is the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie being filmed?
The one in charge of making the important announcement could not be anyone other than Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse Productions, who had always shared updates on the project and who was always excited about it.
The message was brief, as it only mentioned “Day 1”, referring to the fact that filming began on February 1. The most interesting thing is that Blum included a photograph of the recording set. The announcement was very well received by fans, as the post already has 130,000 likes.
Not many details were announced, but the image itself kept fans entertained. Apparently, the production has the code name Bad Cupcake. Likewise, it is seen that in one scene there will be a man in a suit, but it is not possible to see his face because the clapperboard covers it. Among so many screens, there is a figure of Vanny, one of the animatronic characters that fans know well.

When is the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie coming out?
According to details on the official Film New Orleans site, filming is taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States and will culminate just over 2 months later, on April 6, 2023.
Unfortunately, there is no release date or window yet, but judging by the information available, it is not impossible that the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie will be ready this year, 2023, although it is much more likely that it will debut in 2024. To put it For context, The Last of Us series was still filming in September 2022 and was ready in January 2022.
Film and television connoisseurs surely know that victory should not be claimed prematurely, as there is always the possibility that a film project will not come to fruition even after shooting and editing is complete, although it is certainly highly unlikely. That being said, if all goes well, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie should be out before 2025.
