For the first time after the adductor problem, Gosens did part of the training with the group, but remains in doubt for the match against the Friulians. The two blues will start from 1′ after the bench in Genoa, Brozovic’s prices are going up
With Wednesday’s Champions League on the horizon, it’s best to tread lightly, but Robin Gosens’ conditions are improving. The German, who had to stop on Monday against Sampdoria due to a strain on his right adductor, was then replaced by Simone Inzaghi at the interval. The former Atalanta player will certainly not be among the starters on Saturday night against Udinese, but he is still in the running for a call-up: in the Thursday morning session he returned to work at least partially with his teammates and the coach will decide only on the eve whether or not to include it for the Giuseppe Meazza match.

Joaquin Correa is always out, while the rest of the Nerazzurri group is compact and available to Inzaghi. Even if a couple of changes are to be taken into account in view of the crucial round of 16 Inter-Porto, some fixed points can already be identified. Federico Dimarco and Alessandro Bastoni, for example, will return to form the left-wing tandem after being excluded from the starting eleven at Sampdoria. Stefan De Vrij could be confirmed in defense both for the good performance of Luigi Ferraris and to give space to one between Milan Skriniar and Francesco Acerbi. The same goes for Marcelo Brozovic in a midfield exhausted by the dozens of matches already archived in 2023, just as Denzel Dumfries is in the run-off with Matteo Darmian. Confirmation for Romelu Lukaku is expected ahead, while Edin Dzeko should be chosen for the Champions League match. Iinzaghi, however, will only think of Europe from Sunday morning: distractions are no longer allowed.
