Joaquín Sánchez has once again visited the set of ‘El Hormiguero’ to talk to us about his new programme, ‘La penúltima y me voy’, a documentary series that shows his most intimate and personal side as a footballer. On this occasion, Joaquín has been accompanied to the program by his wife, Susana Saborido, one of the great protagonists of this format and of his life.
Both have told on the program how their wedding was and how they lived that special moment in their lives and also, the player has revealed one of Susana’s most hated hobbies and that has surprised everyone in ‘El Hormiguero’.
Pablo Motos wanted to ask Susana about Joaquín’s saddest side and it is one of the player’s lowest moments in the world of football: “It is true that there have been times in football that he has not had a good time and it’s been screwed up”, Susana confessed.
She has said that it is a subject that they have always shared and that despite the fact that he is a hard worker and trains and works like the most, there have been moments in which he has not played: “They have been difficult for the family, but well everything happens,” he said.
Joaquín has tried to explain that his mind is constantly fighting because he is feeling well: “It is that period in which you have to accept that it is the law of life due to age,” the Betis captain admitted.
“I know I’m not here to play 90 minutes every game,” Joaquín confessed. For the player, this is an internal fight with which he struggles every day, although he feels that it is not yet the time to retire: “I have accepted that my role is different,” he adds in his interview with ‘El Hormiguero’.
